I’ve been dead.

Ok so I’ve been dead for quite some time [gloious christmas vacations!], I haven’t done anything decent and finished it [aside from homework] and I haven’t even been near my scanner to so much as scan doodles.

But never fear! I’ll post soon,  I have a couple of things on the almost finished pile :”D

Haven’t been completely dead! Almost though… It’s been a stressful week and I’m just glad it’s finally over. Anywho, been trying to get back to finishing some decent digital pieces, so I started with this one, full on, no chibi, actual shading. It’s still in the works so it’s subject to alot of change :) I’m positive I’m gonna finish this one!

Of course, the one I actually finished was the chibi, cel shaded one ;) I’m pleased with the outcome of this one! The tail was annoying to color though… And it’s still a bit off. But I’m happy I finally got to use this texture <3 Found it in Flickr!

New Things!

I added a tiny sketches sections under the blogroll! It’s really an entire flickr account dedicated to sketches, we’ll see how it goes. But it already has a bunch of sketches from my “about to-be-tossed-aside” sketchbook. Is it just me or is it just generally hard to switch to a new sketchbook? There’s just nothing to look through to get your wheels turning, you have to start from scratch. D: Anyways…

Just added this to the gallery! My first full piece with Prismacolor markers. A friend from college lent them to me for a day and I fell in love with them <3 During this piece another friend would be giving me tips on coloring it, totally helped the outcome of the whole thing. So big ups to both of them if they’re reading C:

Well…

College started. C:

I haven’t done much that I think is worth posting, alot of doodles and stuff, but nothing too great. Maybe I’ll do a huge doodle post soon, of course, if I keep doing what I’ve been doing in class… It’s funny cuz I know I know I’m not the only one doing it! But anyways I managed to finish this today, I’ve been looking through a bunch of color palettes online and there are some fantastic color schemes out there <3

I doodled this up today and finished it in a couple of hours :]

I’m off to experiment with black paper, woohoo :D

The Boosh

A friend of mine recently got me hooked to a show called The Mighty Boosh. It’s fantastic, full of trippy adventures, comedy, and fabulous accents <3 You can watch it here if you’re curious. I feel accomplished with these sketches, because they really look like the characters :D The only one that kinda bugs me though is Saboo [far right]. But he’s alright, I mainly drew him because a friend had asked. Anyways, considering I like to keep posts short sweet and to the point, I’m out!

I’d Like Some Coffee Now

:D Finished this one last night, I was watching the movie Doubt [fantastic movie by the way!]  I was looking at Kawasaki’s "doodles" and wanted to give the white coloring pencil a try on the back of my waterc oloring pad. I’m hilariously happy with how that rose turned out <3

Watercolors!

Well since I had my fair share of acrylics during my senior year, I’ve been drifting towards watercolor painting. I love all the different textures you can get from it <3

Here are a few paintings from oldest to newest!

A prise I colored a long long time ago and never scanned. I must’ve gotten discouraged by my crappy wireless scanner D: It never cooperates with my laptop!

The first one is also an oldie, I was in the mood to paint something but didn’t know what, so this happened. I’m not very satisfied with the outcome of that one but I’d like to play around with the idea more. The one next to it was actually inspired by a very good friend of mine, I asked her if she could help me out with my art block so I could paint [we were webcaming and she was painting, so I had a really terrible urge to do so myself]. So thats what she said, a boy riding a star in space leaving a trail of stuffed animals. I loved the idea and I’m so happy it came out so well <3 I was breaking in some new watercolors as well as trying out different color mixtures.

Batter, Icing and Sprinkles! Oh My!

So these past couple of days I’ve been treating my sweet tooth to home made sweets. The other day there was a sudden torrential downpour so what is a bored girl to do? Buy some brownie mix and bake. Yeah, ok so it’s not from scratch, but hey, times are hard and that was a cheap way out.

This is what I ended up with! Delicious chunky goodness [Although the chunks where more of a “cold brownie” thing] Naturally, it’ only lasted about a day and a half in my house [boo! :C] but it definitely cured my munchies for a while <3

Well, I had a bit of an issue with my last site/blog… Aka me being a noob with everything xD;
